Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Resume Graph. They are written to be read, so they are shorter and plainer than they could be.

What the service is

Resume Graph reads a job posting, asks you about the experience behind your resume, and produces a version of that resume matched to the role, along with a report of what changed and what is still worth strengthening. It can also produce a cover letter from a finished document.

What it draws on — and what it will not do

A rewrite may draw on exactly two sources: what your source resume already states, and what you confirmed when the product asked you. There is no third source. A requirement it cannot cover from those two is reported to you as unmet rather than written into the document.

This is enforced in the product, not merely intended. It is also the reason the product asks you questions instead of guessing.

What it does not promise

Resume Graph does not apply for roles on your behalf, does not contact employers, and promises no interview, no offer and no hiring outcome. Screening decisions are made by employers using criteria we neither see nor control.

The product writes to widely used resume and applicant-tracking conventions. It cannot guarantee how any particular employer's system will parse a document.

Your account

You need an account to use the product. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. One account is for one person — accounts are not shared.

Plans, allowances and payment

Each plan carries an allowance, and the allowance shown on the pricing page is the one the system actually enforces. Building, editing and exporting documents are included on every plan, including the free one.

Paid plans are charged in advance for the period you choose. One-time credits are charged once and do not expire. Payment is taken by PayPal on their own site. Billing is not currently enabled; while that is the case every account runs on the free allowance, nothing is charged, and there is nothing to cancel.

You can stop using a paid plan at any time; it runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. If something goes wrong on our side and you were charged for it, write to us and we will sort it out.

What belongs to whom

Your material is yours. Your resume, your answers and the documents produced from them belong to you, and you may use them however you like, including commercially. You give us permission to process them only so far as producing your documents requires — see the privacy policy.

The product itself — the software, the interface and the writing standards behind it — remains ours.

Using it properly

Please do not:

• upload someone else's resume or personal details without their agreement;
• use the product to misrepresent someone's experience, which is precisely what it is built not to do;
• attempt to break, overload or work around the allowances and limits;
• resell access to the product.

We may suspend an account that does these things.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running and will not always succeed. It is provided as it is, without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability, and it may change as the product develops.

Limits of responsibility

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for lost opportunities, lost earnings, or other indirect losses arising from your use of the product. Nothing here limits any responsibility that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes and contact
